Bitcoin power law chart and price tracker
Compare Bitcoin's daily USD price with its fitted long-term power law, residual support and resistance bands, and 200-day and 200-week moving averages.
About this model
The fit uses log-space linear regression across the complete bundled daily history: P(t) = a · tᵇ, where t is days since Bitcoin's genesis block. Bands are the first and ninety-ninth percentiles of historical log residuals.
Daily candles and live pricing come from Coinbase, with CoinGecko as the live-price fallback. This is a historical research view, not a price forecast or financial advice.

Questions people ask
What do the power-law support and resistance bands mean?
They are percentile ranges of historical log-price deviations from this fitted long-term curve. They describe how past prices dispersed around the fit; they are not guaranteed floors, ceilings or future targets.
Can the power-law fit predict Bitcoin's price?
No. A strong historical fit does not establish a causal model or a reliable forecast. New market conditions, adoption, regulation and liquidity can make future behavior differ from the historical sample.
Why show 200-day and 200-week moving averages?
They smooth daily price noise over two commonly watched horizons, making medium- and long-term context easier to inspect. Like the power-law fit, they are descriptive indicators, not trading signals.
